The village of Pinakates is located 27 km from Volos. It is a beautiful, picturesque village with a strong traditional character. The old, well-preserved mansions in the village give it an air of nobility, making it truly unique.
It impresses visitors as it is surrounded by forests of chestnut trees, plane trees, apple trees, and vineyards, which together with the stone-built houses of traditional architecture create an idyllic atmosphere in Pinakates.
In the picturesque village square stands the Church of Saint Demetrius and a marble neoclassical fountain dating back to 1894.
In recent years, Pinakates has experienced tourist development, mainly due to its road connection with Vizitsa. The village hosts several guesthouses that offer comfortable accommodation in a distinctive environment, ideal for those seeking peace and relaxation.
