The town of Neapolis is built in a stunning location, situated in the middle of a fertile valley. It is 15 km from Agios Nikolaos.
The area has been inhabited since ancient times and was home to the ancient Dorian city of Dreros. At the archaeological site, visitors can see the ruins of the Temple of Apollo and the ancient marketplace. Excavations have also uncovered three bronze statues of gods.
