 Elounda

Elounda is the most cosmopolitan tourist resort of Lasithi. This seaside town, the port of Agios Nikolaos, is located just 11 km from the prefecture¢s capital.
It is built on the site of the ancient city of Olous, part of which has sunk. On calm days, the ruins of the ancient settlement can be seen beneath the crystal-clear waters.
