Milatos is a beautiful traditional village located 32 km from Agios Nikolaos. The village is built on the same site as the ancient city of the same name.
Near Milatos is the cave where, in 1823, 3,600 civilians were killed by the Turks. Beyond its historical significance, the cave, which covers an area of 2,000 sq.m., is also of speleological interest, with its interior adorned with stunning stalactites and stalagmites.
You can swim at the nearby beach and enjoy the delights of traditional cuisine at the seaside tavernas.
