Paralia

The Paralia area is located to the west of Patras, just 6 km from the city center. It serves as the seat of the municipality of the same name, which is the smallest in the region. The municipality includes the municipal districts of Paralia and Roitika, both situated along the coastal zone, as well as Mantilogli, which lies about 3 km from the nearest beach.
The area also holds archaeological interest. Near Roitika, in the Pavlokastro area, excavations have revealed parts of ancient Greek tombs from the Classical period, along with various pottery and utensils.
During your visit to Paralia, it is worth exploring the monasteries of Analipsis and Sotiros, which preserve icons dating back to the Ottoman period.
Notable local festivals attract visitors throughout the year, including the Sardine Festival held in early summer and the Wine Festival in mid-September.
