Elaionas is another charming coastal village of Achaia that attracts visitors with its natural beauty and stunning beach.
It belongs to the Municipality of Diakopto and is one of its largest districts. In recent years, it has developed into a popular seaside resort in the area, as the options it offers satisfy all tastes. Its tourist infrastructure is adequate and continues to improve year by year.
Historically, the village was formerly known as Trypia.
On the mountain near the village, there is a cave where local tradition says a statue of Hercules once stood, worshiped as a god in ancient times.
