The village of Elati is located 30 km from the city of Ioannina at an altitude of 960 m. It was a pastoral settlement since the 16th century. The old village was burned by the Germans in 1943. The new village of Elati has been built near a beautiful forested area on the northern side of Mount Mitsikeli. It offers excellent views of the lush forests and the mountains of Tymfi.
During your stay in the village, it is worth visiting the Church of Saint George, which dates back to 1806. Also impressive are the nature trails, where you can see traditional fountains as well as a traditional stone bridge.
