 Elati

Elati is one of the biggest and most beautiful mountainous villages in Thessaly. It is situated in the north part of Pindos mountain chain, 32 km from Trikala town and in a 900 m height of Kerketion or Koziakas mountain. Until 1955 the village wan named Tyrna, a nomination still used by locals. The settlements of Vlahia, Agios Georgios, Xylohori and Liopistes administratively belong to Elati.
This village is really magnificent with dense vegetation. The settlement is still traditional with cobblestone pavements that take you back to past times. It is built amphitheatrically and is surrounded by a forest with fir trees.
The options for entertainment satisfy even the most demanding tastes. The ski center of Pertouli is just a few meters from the village, while you can try hiking, mountaineering, riding and mountain bike.
