 Katastari

The picturesque village of Katastari is built in region verdurous of olive groves and running waters. It is the head of Alykes municipality and it located 14km southwest of Zakynthos. The settlement is built amphitheatrically along the central road, with the gulf of Alykes in its left side. The view from there is breathtaking.
Katastari has not – yet – tourist development. It keeps its traditional colour and it’s ideal for long walks.
Close to the village is the historic monastery of Saint Ioannis Prodromos, dated from the 16th century.
In the region of Agios Demetrios you will see the therapeutic source of Tsouri, with waters that are believed to heal some skin illnesses.
