A traditional village located 25 km northeast of the capital. The residents mainly engage in agriculture. Remarkable are the grain storage facilities at the village entrance, carved into the rocks.
Among the local attractions, the Byzantine castle stands out, where, according to local tradition, the heroine Maroula fought the Turks in the 15th century.
It is also worth visiting the Church of Zoodochos Pigi, within whose courtyard stands the statue of Maroula, as well as the Church of Agios Georgios.
You can swim at Kotsina Beach, 2.5 km from the village, and enjoy a meal at the taverns around the local harbor.
