 Agia triada

Agia Triada is a beautiful village located at an altitude of 800 m. You will find it northwards of Velouhi, 35 km from Karpenissi. It is the headquarters of Ktimenios municipality.
The region is very close to the Ski center of Velouhi and attracts thousands of tourists especially during winter time.
Agia Triada had an important historic route through time. Take a stroll around the cobblestone paths and admire the old mansions, the garden and the green nature. Unique pictures that will stay for ever in your mind. One of the main sources of Megdovas river is in Agia Triada.
According to historic sources, the village was built around the homonym monastery, in the middle of the 18th century.
Here, during the period of the Turkish rule, was the headquarters of “Kina Grammata School of Agia Triada”. It was established in 1779 by monk Dorotheos Voulismas from Ithaca.
You can visit the Library, which operates at the house of Chrisostomos Karapiperis and has more than 8.000 books.
Also the small Folklore Museum with traditional costumes and household utensils.
