The small, picturesque village of Agios Nikolaos is located 9 km from Karpenissi. Built in an altitude of 1020 m, it is the first green village you see as you enter Evritania from the National Highway Lamias – Karpenissiou.
Agios Nikolaos belongs to the Municipality of Karpenissi.
The region is famous for its chestnuts and fir forests. It is worth visiting the churches of Saint Nikolaos and Saint Paraskevi.
