 Avlemonas

Avlemonas is a coastal village in the east part of Kythira, 26km from Chora. It has many small gulfs that create an enchanting natural scenery. It is worth visiting this picturesque fish village in order to admire its natural beauties and historic monuments.
In the port’s entrance you will see the small Venetian Castle, Kastelo, which was built at the beginnings of the 16th century as a lookout tower. Today it is the ideal place for long, romantic walks. Worth visiting is the building with the sun watch, in the peninsula right behind the village.
