Emporios is a small quiet village in the southwest end of Kalymnos, 24km from the capital. The village stays tourist unutilized and its few residents work with agriculture and animal breeding.
It is ideal for those seeking for some privacy. It has a beautiful beach with pebbles, while rather enchanting is the beach in the gulf of Agrinontas.
You can take a boat to the abrupt beaches and see unique beauties.
From Emporios you can follow ambulatory routes and climb up the mountain behind the village. You will see the remains of Cyclops Walls and of an ancient Castle. But don’t try climbing it without a trained guide.
