Macedonia is a geographical and historical region of Greece with a very rich history that is lost in the depths of centuries. It borders Skopje (FYROM) and Bulgaria to the north, Thessaly and the Aegean Sea to the south, Western Thrace to the east and Epirus and Albania to the west.

The region of Western Macedonia is located in the northwestern part of Greece and borders Albania and FYROM. It consists of the Prefectures of Kozani, Grevena, Kastoria and Florina.
Western Macedonia is a predominantly mountainous region with 82% of its territory covered by mountainous and semi-mountainous areas. It is ideal for touring as it has unparalleled natural beauty, remarkable cities, picturesque villages and many entertainment and activity options.
