   Citadel and Treasury of Atreus

   The Treasury of Atreus or Tomb of Agamemnon is a large tholos or beehive tomb on Panagitsa Hill at Mycenae, Greece, constructed during the Bronze Age around 1250 BC. The stone lintel above the doorway weighs 120 tons, with approximate dimensions,the largest in the world. The tomb was used for an unknown period. Mentioned by the Roman geographer Pausanias in the 2nd century AD, it was still visible in 1879 when the German archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann discovered the shaft graves under the "agora" in the Acropolis at Mycenae.

   Nafplio

   Nafplio is a seaport town in the Peloponnese in Greece that has expanded up the hillsides near the north end of the Argolic Gulf. The town was an important seaport held under a succession of royal houses in the Middle Ages as part of the lordship of Argos and Nauplia, held initially by the de la Roche following the Fourth Crusade before coming under the Republic of Venice and, lastly, the Ottoman Empire. The town was the capital of the First Hellenic Republic and of the Kingdom of Greece, from the start of the Greek Revolution in 1821 until 1834. Nafplio is now the capital of the regional unit of Argolis.

   The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus

   The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus is a part of archaeological site of Epidaurous and is located on the southeast end of the sanctuary dedicated to the ancient Greek God of medicine, Asclepius. It is built on the west side of Cynortion Mountain, near modern Lygourio, and belongs to the Epidaurus Municipality. It is considered to be the most important ancient Greek theatre with regard to acoustics and aesthetics.

   Monemvasia

   After 3 hours driving from Nafplio, we will reach Monemvasia Village. Monemvasia is a town and a municipality in Laconia, Greece. The town is connected with a small island off the east coast of the Peloponnese. The island is linked to the mainland by a short causeway 200m in length. Its area consists mostly of a large plateau some 100 metres above sea level, up to 300 m wide and 1 km long, the site of a powerful medieval fortress

   The heart of Monemvasia beats inside the medieval fortress. As you enter the old gate of this old city you will be initiated at the medieval times, since the fortress is in amazing condition.Lots of cafes,restaurants and souvenir shops are located inside it.We will spend all day inside the Fortress since there are a lot things for the travellers to admire.

   Since we enter the Castle one of the most impressive sightseeings is the church of Christ in Chains.This 12th century basilica with dome, was a very important church at Byzantine time since it is considered to be built under the orders of Emperor Andronikos II.

   Archaeological Collection of Monemvasia

   The archaeological collection of the fortress of Monemvasia is housed in an old mosque in the main square in the lower town, opposite the town cathedral of Elkomenos Christos. This small museum contains artefacts chiefly found during work to repair the monuments and surface exploration carried out over the past decades. The collection consists mainly of architectural sculptures and ceramic objects used in daily life. The sculptures are from the church of Aghia Sofia and the ruined mid-Byzantine church excavated at the Georgoulas residence, and date from the end of the 12th century. The latter is one of the earliest monuments in the fortress with a marble altar screen.

   The Church of Agia Sofia is among the oldest and most important Byzantine churches in Greece. It stands on the highest point of Monemvasia and gives a great view to the Aegean Sea. This church was originally established in the 12th century by the Byzantine emperor Andronicus II. At Venetian times this was an catholic church. The view worths the 20 minutes walking that is need to reach the top.

   Archaeological Site of Mystra

   After 2 hours of driving, we will reach Mystras.In the Chronicle of the Morea, is a fortified town and a former municipality in Laconia, Peloponnese, Greece. Situated on Mt. Taygetos, near ancient Sparta, it served as the capital of the Byzantine Despotate of the Morea in the 14th and 15th centuries, experiencing a period of prosperity and cultural flowering. The site remained inhabited throughout the Ottoman period, when it was mistaken by Western travellers for ancient Sparta. In the 1830s, it was abandoned and the new town of Sparti was built, approximately eight kilometres to the east.Travellers will visit the old Castle and observe closely this Byzantine times fortification.
