Parnassos Ski Center is the biggest, most famous and cosmopolitan in Greece. It is 165km far from Athens, ideal for short term getaways.
This is not the only reason for its popularity. Parnassos is one of the most beautiful mountains in Greece, verdurous of beeches and dense vegetation all year round. Especially during winter time, the snowy landscape creates and idyllic picture.
If you go to Parnassos, don’t miss visiting the picturesque and cosmopolitan town of Arahova, known as the Mykonos of winter. The short distance to the ski center (25km) make Arahova the ideal place for staying. During day time the ski center is full of people, experienced skiers, but and simple visitors who just want to enjoy the magnificent view…

Parnassos has three ski centers in a 1.600 - 2.250 m height. They are located in Kelaria and Fterolakka. They have very good infrastructures satisfying all demands.
The construction started in 1975 and completed in 1976, with the first operating runs in Fterolakka. In 1981 the infrastructures in Kelaria were also completed, while during the 1987 – 8 started operating the lift “Hermes”. In 1993 was added the first four-seated demeshed cable railway in Greece, “Hercules”, in location Kelaria.
Today the ski center has 13 lifts. Six of them are cable, the other six are trailing railways, while one is a cabin. There are 2 baby lifts to help beginners to their first steps.
The Ski Center has 20 runs in Kelaria and Fterolakka of 22km length. Beginners and good skiers can use the 320m to 4km length runs. While for the experienced skiers who dare bumping up their adrenaline, there are 12 separate runs.
There are also 5 runs of different difficulty in Gerondovrahos. Parnassos ski center has the best infrastructures and a high level of security.
This is why it is so famous amongst skiers and those who want to relax and enjoy the white landscape. Apart from skiing, the visitors can do snowboard, snowmobile, cross country and night ski.
Parnassos has also a spacious chalet with a cafeteria, restaurant, ski school, renting and buying ski equipment, baby sitting, children’s playground, large parking space, first aid station and heliport.
