 Aristi

The village of Aristi is located 48 km from Ioannina and is built at an altitude of 650 m. Its central square impresses visitors with a large, centuries-old plane tree and the traditional cafés surrounding it. In the square, you will also find the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, dating back to 1718. Strolling along the narrow stone-paved alleys leading into the village, you will discover the traditional neighborhoods of Aristi.
A short distance from the village, at a site called Kastraki, you can see the ruins of ancient walls. From Aristi, visitors have easy access to the Voidomatis River and the Holy Monastery of Spiliotissa, which was founded in the 17th century. It is also worth visiting the Church of Saint Athanasios, which dates back to the 17th century.
