Cafe Gardenia is one of the main meeting places in the village. It is open throughout the entire year, during the summer for tourists to enjoy hot and cold drinks and many of the sweet and savoury delights the cake shop has to offer and during winter for the village elders to meet for a shot or two of Elliniko (Greek coffee) while playing Tavla (Backgammon). It sells fresh cakes, icecreams, pancakes, savory snacks, beers, spirits, juices, cold and hot drinks, firmly with an emphasis on Greek traditional flavour, with the odd night being dedicated to bouzouki music, frequently played by Panagio
