The long night of Museums
The Long Night of Museums is a cultural event firstly organized in 2005 by the French Ministry of Civilization. It is a night celebrated all around Europe. The “long night of the museums” is held under the aegis of the European Council.
At this “long night of Museums” participate museums from all over Europe. Te events aims in introducing new individuals into the cultural institutions.
At that time of year, all museums participating in the program stay open from sunrise to 1 a. m. The entrance is free.
This year the long night of the museums was celebrated on Saturday 19th May.

Participant museums from Greece The Athens Numismatic Museum The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki , The Archaeological Museum of Delphi , The Archaeological Museum of Argos and the Byzantine Museum of Antivouniotissa in Corfu.
