Melanes

Village Melanes is built in a soil valley with olive trees. It is located 8km southeastern of Chora. The region apart from the natural beauties has a lot of important sites such as the towers of Fragopoulos, Mavrogenis and the summer resort of Marcus Sanoudos. In location Flerio you can see one of the half-made Kouros of Naxos. Near village Melanes are located the small graphic villages of Kourounochori and Mili that are worth to visit.
