Afroessa hotel was built in Santorini, in 1991 in Imerovigli, a peaceful and serene village at a height of 300 meters above sea level at the center of caldera. The hotel used to be a canava for the preparation and preservation of wine, and it is dated back to the 18th century. Some built-dispensers named "Lina" have been preserved till today. These dispensers are located 2m into the ground and their use was to gather the wine that dribbled from the wine presses. The location of the building is called "Maganari" and it took its name from the wine-press.

Afroessa hotel consists of 10 renovated traditional style buildings with individual balconies for your relaxation with a view of the magnificent sunset. The hotel is divided in 5 levels.

The reception is open to serve you daily from 09.00 a.m. until 13.00 p.m. and from 18.00 p.m. until 21.00 p.m. You are welcome to ask any question that will facilitate you and make your stay pleasant (taverns, restaurants, clubs, car/bike rental and excursions).

There is also a swimming pool at the edge of the caldera.
