The sponge factory established by Nickolaos Verneniotis in 1860 has been lovingly restored and turned into one of the most charming small hotels in Greece.

Only two minutes walking distance from the port in a secluded court- yard it is open 8 months of the year. Twenty six rooms - typical Hydriot architecture at its best - a magnificent garden with a crystal, clear pool and most of all, Bratsera's selected staff, are waiting to welcome you and show you the real meaning of Greek hospitality.
The Bratsera Hotel reception occupies the largest part of the old factory; of magnificent scale, it has an enchanting aura of the past.

The hotel complex entirely surrounds a large garden of oleander and jacaranda, bougainvillea, wild herbs and cypress. A court and colonnaded swimming pool occupy the spacious garden with colonnades bearing wisteria covered trellises beneath which meals are served.
