Aenos
In 1941, during the Second World War, Mussolini¢s forces occupied Cephalonia and AENOS HOTEL was turned to the officers' club.
The catastrophic earthquake in 1953 destroyed most of the Ionian Islands. AENOS HOTEL was not only demolished but it caught on fire and all its precious furniture was totally burnt.
In 1961, a small building with eight rooms on the first floor and some shops on the ground floor was constructed on the same site of the magnificent 18th century mansion, which was again rented as a Hotel.
