A coastal village in the east part of the island. It is the biggest and one of the most beautiful beaches in Kythira. Very close to the beach of Avlemonas, attracts lovers of swimming.
In this region used to be the ancient town of Skabia. It is estimated that severe earthquakes torn the town down. According to tradition, goddess Aphrodite was born there.
