Poros
About Poros
Poros is a seaside village in the southeastern part of Kefalonia, set between green hills and the Ionian Sea. It is one of the island's main ports, offering ferry connections to Kyllini on the Greek mainland and serving as an important gateway to Kefalonia.
Poros has a pleasant pebble beach with clear waters and a calm waterfront area lined with tavernas, cafés, and small accommodations. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, with a strong sense of local life compared to more tourist-heavy parts of the island.
The area is an excellent base for exploring southern Kefalonia, as it is close to Skala and natural and cultural sites such as the Monastery of Atros, offering a combination of sea, nature, and tranquility.

Traditional Greek Cooking Class and Organic Lunch on Poros
5.0Your local guide will welcome you with a cold and refreshing Poros lemonade, along with a story about the Poros lemon tree forest that goes back to the 18th century. During your hands-on cooking class, the chef will give you step-by-step instructions to perfectly prepare traditional Greek dishes like tzatziki, Greek salad, beetroot dip, fish or vegetable plaki, spanakopita and bougatsa. You’ll learn the key ingredients and spices needed to make these dishes as authentic as possible, the perfect skill to take home with you from your travels in Greece. This class takes place in the beautiful setting of a traditional Greek bistro, where you will meet the family that owns it and learn about their island life. After we chop, stir and fold, you’ll also learn how to mix a special drink called Nectar, which was inspired by the Greek gods. Finally, it’s time to eat! You’ll get to savour the fruits of your labour — and the food will taste even better because you’ve made it with your own hands!
Halkidiki: Private Cruise to Diaporos Island & Vourvourou
5.0This is a fully private 5-hour cruise — no shared groups, no fixed itinerary. The price covers your entire group (up to 8 guests), not per person. Just your party, your skipper, and the waters of Diaporos entirely to yourselves. Diaporos is one of the Aegean's best-kept secrets — a cluster of uninhabited islands rising from glass-clear water just off the Sithonia peninsula. Departing from either Vourvourou (Ekies Resort) or Ouranoupoli (Eagles Resort), the route covers Halkidiki's most beautiful and least crowded coves: Hawaii Beach (Myrsini), the Blue Lagoon, Karydi Beach, and the pristine double-sided beaches of Ampelitsi and Peristeri Island. From Ouranoupoli, an optional lunch stop at Ormos Panagias adds a taste of local seafood to the day. Your skipper adapts the pace and stops to suit your group. The cruise operates aboard our Axopar 28 T-Top — a premium 28ft vessel with a 300HP Mercury engine, built for open water and comfortable for up to 7 guests.
