Dispilio

Dispilio is a lakeside settlement in the regional unit of Kastoria, Western Macedonia, located next to Lake Kastoria. It is world-famous for its prehistoric lake settlement, one of the most important Neolithic archaeological sites in Europe.

The Dispilio archaeological site includes reconstructions of stilt houses and findings that show how people lived around 7,000 years ago, offering a unique glimpse into prehistoric life.
