Your first stop is the historic monastery of Kera Kardiotissa, a peaceful convent inhabited and run by nuns, set in an idyllic landscape. We then continue your journey south towards the Lassithi Plateau, an impressive highland area that may have once been the crater of an ancient volcano. The plateau is famous for its thousands of traditional windmills and its beautiful, fertile landscape.
