Delphi, the centre of the ancient world, is one of the most moving places in Greece, and this private day trip gets you there in comfort. Your English-speaking driver picks you up from your Athens hotel, apartment or Piraeus cruise port in an air-conditioned Mercedes with Wi-Fi and bottled water. At Delphi you'll have about three hours to walk the Sacred Way up to the Temple of Apollo, where the Oracle once spoke, and to see the famous bronze Charioteer in the Delphi Archaeological Museum. Then enjoy free time in Arachova, a stone-built village on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, and visit the Monastery of Hosios Loukas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its golden Byzantine mosaics. Your driver does not guide inside the sites, but a licensed guide can be added for an extra fee. Just your group, at your own pace.

Delphi Ancient Town
Departing from Athens we will drive through the national road to Thieves, Levadia, Distomo, and the village of Stiri to visit the 11th-century monastery of Osios Loukas which is situated on a mountainside overlooking a beautiful valley. Then we will drive towards to the beautiful village of Arachova, which is located nearby the Ski Center of Parnassos. After a wonderful scenic drive through mountains and fertile valleys, we will visit the ancient city of Delphi, visit the Oracle, navel & the center of the world, according to Greek mythology! the local museum and the local stadium. Finally, we will visit the modern village of Delphi and we will have lunch at a scenic traditional tavern. Then we will return back to Athens.

- Your driver is not a licensed tour guide. In Greece only licensed guides may guide inside archaeological sites and museums, so drivers wait outside.
- Licensed guides are optional, available upon request for an additional fee, and subject to availability. They are not included in the standard tour price.
- Flexible Departure Times: As this is a private tour, we offer flexible starting times between 07:30 AM and 10:00 AM, subject to availability and archaeological site opening hours. Please contact us if you prefer a different pickup time.
- This is a long day of about 9-10 hours, with roughly 2.5 hours of driving each way.
- Expect walking on uneven, uphill paths at Delphi, so wear comfortable shoes and bring sun protection.
- Entrance fees are paid at each site. Children and students under 18 and EU seniors often qualify for free or reduced entry.
- Vehicle: Modern Mercedes-Benz sedan, minivan, minibus, or Škoda SUV. The vehicle type is determined by the number of passengers and is subject to availability.
