Street Food Tasting In The Locals Favorite Hidden Places

Join us on a food extravaganza where we will sample a wide variety of our favorite street foods in the locals spots of downtown Athens. We will meet in Monastiraki and then take a short stroll around the market area and the social life area (Psiri) stopping regularly for tastings and sit down meals of our most loved street foods, all in places frequented by the local community. We will visit one of the best souvlaki houses and sample their delicous pork or chicken skewers , eat a gyros washed down with Greek licquers such as raki and ouzo, local wine or fresh orange juice, and visit a fish taverna inside the market and taste fried calamari and small fish. Of course we will eat some of our favorite sweets, loukoumades and ice cream as the Greeks love desert! Unfortunately this experience is not suitable for gluten free, vegetarian or vegan diets but our traditional food tour is able to accomodate all dietry requirements.
