Olive Oil & Wine Now & Then Luxury Private Experience
Your Olive Oil and Wine Experience starts with a visit of a local traditional Olive Oil Factory in the region of Heraklion. You will find out all about the Olive Oil production, visit the factory installations and try extra virgin Cretan olive oil. Next, you will explore the prehistoric industrial area of Vathipetro. There, the oldest European winery and olive oil press were excavated dating back to Minoan Times, 1700 B. C. Your last stop will be local winery where you will visit the installations and vineyards and enjoy a splendid wine tasting (different types of local wine produced in the region) accompanied by a light Lunch consisting of eight different "Meze" style dishes.
