You will experience olive oil tasting inside our family olive grove and learn about Greek olive oil culture! Starting from our meeting point, the petite chapel of St. Efrem, we will walk through a traditional, family olive grove to explore the rare Manaki olive trees, learn about the cultivation, the sustainable agricultural practices and the family history! After our walk through the olive trees, we will enjoy an olive oil tasting with a view of the olive groves and grapes of the mythical slopes of Mt. Fokas, where the Lion of Nemea was born! You will learn all about : olive oil categories and the basic principles of olive oil tasting, the fruitiness, pungency and bitterness of olive oil how to appreciate & taste olive oil to identify award winning qualities as well as negative traits to avoid in olive oil all the health benefits it provides You'll learn about the Mediterranean diet in a holistic way and enjoy olive oil food pairing with Greek flavors!
