Start your tour at the arranged meeting point: the 13th century castle of Androusa, located in the heart of Messinia, just a 20' drive from Kalamata and 10' from Ancient Messene. Discover the local olive tree varieties, witness the perennial olive trees and find out their stories. In the center of Androusa Village, visit a traditional olive museum located in the village for more than 120 years! Next visit a modern olive oil mill to discover the production of the extra virgin olive oil and what makes it so unique. Join an olive oil tasting workshop, guided by an olive oil expert! Taste different olive oil varieties and find out their organoleptic characteristics. Learn to recognize the elements that define the extra virgin olive oil. Local goods (small bites) are "paired" with olive oil so as to experience the full taste of the region. Taste, also, the famous kalamata olives and delicious olive tapenades! Don't forget to take the olive taste of Greece back home and share it with friends and family!
