The Path: A paved path winds its way up the hillside toward the dark opening in the rock. It takes about 10–15 minutes to walk up. The Choice: Travelers can either walk up at their own pace or opt for a traditional experience by hiring a mule or donkey from the local handlers at the base to carry them up the hill. Reaching the entrance is an awe-inspiring moment, but the real magic lies below ground. The Descent: The cave plunges deep into the earth. Visitors walk down a series of modern steps and platforms that wind through the massive chambers. The Atmosphere: Inside, the air turns cool and damp (a jacket is recommended even in summer). The only sounds are dripping water and echoing footsteps. As travelers descend deeper, they will explore the main features of the cave: The Stalactites and Stalagmites: The cave is filled with thousands of incredible rock formations. The lighting inside highlights these natural sculptures that have been forming for millennia.
