You will explore the Venetian Fortress of Heraklion. You will visit the Venetian Dockyards or "Neoria". You will walk along the most important historic Street of the town visiting important Venetian and Ottoman Monuments such as Agios Titos Church, the Venetian Loggia, the Basilica of St Mark and the renowned Morosini or Lions Fountain. During your town exploration, you will try the most renowned local delicacies of Heraklion such as the famous “Bougatsa” pastry, local “Loukoumades” donuts with honey, traditional Greek coffee and herbal tea. Your town tour will sum up with Heraklion Open Air Market Street where you will enjoy its various colors, smells and sounds. You will find out all about the local products of Crete and taste local products, such as the famous Cretan extra virgin olive oil, fresh cheese from the Market and thyme honey, while interacting with local producers.
