Crete: River Trekking At Preveli Beach
Kourtaliotiko gorge, the most ideal place on Crete for river trekking, is able to offer intense experiences, cool moments and tones of fun. The Kourtaliotiko gorge is very long and consist of two parts, the first part from its famous springs until the middle and the second part from the middle of the gorge until the exit, the stunning Preveli beach. On that trip we will hike through the second part of the river which is trickier, challenging and in some parts demanding. Big boulders and small waterfalls help you to escape from your daily routine and gives you a sense of adventure. This is what it makes the river trekking unique, the adventure with funny and safe way! The river ends in the famous beach of Preveli with the palm trees forest, one of the few in Crete where you will have the chance to swim in one of the most recognizable beaches of Greece.

Through river trekking you have the opportunity to see and explore exotic sites that will surprise you like unexpected Palm forests, small waterfalls and stunning rock formations. Hidden jewels unknown to the most of the people, but ready to be revealed by those who will try it! River trekking is a fun and cool activity, especially during the hot summer days, that does not require technical equipment like ropes and rappel, neither has it got difficult passages. We only use the necessary means of protection to ensure that we keep all the safety standards, such as helmets etc. In essence, river trekking is an adventurous hiking through the riverbed between huge boulders, small waterfalls, swimming spots and it is enjoyable for individuals, families or small groups. Take your water shoes put your swimsuit and enjoy the water!
