    Herakleidon Museum

    After your pickup, we visit Apostle Paul’s first destination: Acropolis Hill with Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Erechtheion and the Nike Temples. Apostle Paul had discussions with the locals about the death of Jesus on the cross and his resurrection. Areopagus or Mars Hill Exactly across the official exit of Acropolis Athens site, stands Mars Hill or Aeropagus Hill. At Acts 17:22-31 is mentioned that Apostle Paul stood in the middle of the Areopagus and gave his famous speech to the “UNKNOWN GOD”.

    Ancient Agora of Athens

    The next stop is Ancient Agora. You will stroll in Plaka old city and stop by the Roman Agora and Adrian’s Library. Adrianou Street is flanked by small traditional cafes overlooking Ancient Agora while behind it stands Athens iconic Flea Market. Ancient Agora's most prominent sites are the magnificent Temple of Hephaestus and Stoa of Attalos.

    Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos)

    Next, we set off towards Corinth Canal, a-six-and a-half-kilometre canal separating the Aegean Sea from the Ionian sea. Twenty minutes later, you will arrive at Ancient Corinth with the famous Temple of Apollo and the Bema, where Apostle Paul preached the word of Christian God to the local Corinthians, Jewish and Romans. Apostle Paul stayed in Corinth for 18 months. He is the patron saint of Corinth and the Corinthians built an impressive church in his honour, the Church of Apostle Paul, which you will visit in modern Corinth. Apostle Paul bid goodbye to his friends as he set off to Syria from Kechree port to continue his work on spreading Christianity in the Mediterranean.

    Nafpaktos Old Port

    After Corinth, we cross the Rio Antirio Bridge and enter the western mainland. Our first stop is Nafpaktos, a scenic little Venetian port where you can have a coffee or tea at the port. Next, we drive to Galaxidi and Delphi for overnight rest.

    Delphi Archaeological Museum

    Your second tour day begins with Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sites of Delphi include the Temple of Apollo, the Amphictyonic Council, the Siphnian Treasury, the Theatre, the Tholos, the Gymnasium and the Stadium. The Delphi museum exhibits masterpieces from the sight, including the famous Charioteer, the Sphinx of the Naxians, and the statues of Kleobis and Biton. For lunch, we have chosen the traditional tavern “To Patriko mas” which combine an astounding view of the vast olive tree valley and sea with exceptional food and service.

    Thermopylae Museum

    The next stop is Thermopylae and the Historical Centre of the battlefield of 300 Spartans. There we meteoracan see the statue of Leonidas, king of Sparta as a memorial of the battle. Admission Fee: 3 euro The next destination is Kalambaka. You will check in your rooms and we will transport you to Meteora Rocks to watch the stunning sunset over the imposing Monasteries.

    On the third day of your tour, you will visit 2 or 3 of the Meteora monasteries, depending on the day and time we are visiting. Meteora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Meteora monasteries date from the 14th century and are unique in the world because of the amazing treasure of Byzantine and Christian items you can witness. Proper attire is required in the monasteries. Women must wear skirts below the knees though in some monasteries these are provided for women in shorts or slacks. Men’s arms must be covered and they must wear long pants. After your visit to the Monasteries, you will descend to Kalambaka and have lunch at its main street with traditional and family-run small taverns. After your lunch, we will set off to Vergina.

    Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai (Vergina)

    Vergina, another UNESCO site, was the first capital of the ancient kingdom of Macedonia. You will visit the palaces, the ancient theatre, the Royal Macedonian Tombs and the Museum.

    Veroia

    Next stop will be Veria, another town evangelized by Paul (Acts 17: 10-14). We will visit the ancient synagogue where we will see the Byzantine mosaic in the monument commemorating his preaching. The spot in Veria where it is said that Paul stood and preached, the so-called “Apostle Paul’s Podium” is now an imposing monument.

    Archaeological Museum of Pella

    After breakfast, we leave Veria and drive for about an hour where we reach the vast Archaeological sight of Pella and its distinct Museum. The Pella Museum won the “Traveller’s Choice Award” for 2020 from Trip Advisor.

    Ancient Amphipolis

    Next stop is Amphipolis, an ancient Greek city on the Strymon River colonized by Athens. The most impressive monuments are Kasta Tomb a memorial dedicated to the dearest friend of Alexander the Great, Hephaestion. The Lion of Amphipolis, a monumental tomb sculpture, set up in honour of Laomedon of Mytilene, an important general of Alexander the Great, king of Macedon.

    The Archaeological Museum of Philippi

    On your 5th tour day, you will visit Philippi where Apostle Paul preached. One of the first to be baptized there was Lydia, a noblewoman from Thyateira of Asia Minor. In Philippi, Paul and Silas were accused of provoking abnormalities in the city and for having habits unusual for the Romans. The two men were caned and imprisoned but managed to flee to Thessaloniki.

    Archaeological Museum of Kavala

    Next, we will continue to the ancient city of Neapolis, the first European city to accept Christianity. We will see the Roman Aqueduct and the ruins of the Acropolis in this beautifully located city, known since the 5th century as Kavala.

    Thessaloniki

    After a drive of about 2 hours, we will reach Thessaloniki, Greece’s second-biggest city and with exceptional history throughout the centuries. Apostle Paul and Silas reached Thessaloniki in the fall of 48AD. You will visit the Orthodox Church of St. Paul a symbol of Apostle Paul’s visit to Thessaloniki Apostle Paul’s Holy Water. In the area, used to be a spring and the rumours say that Apostle Paul stopped to drink some water Thessaloniki’s popular sights: famous White Tower by the sea, the Roman Forum, the Rotunda, the Arch of Galerius (known as “Kamara”), the church of Agios Dimitrios with its underground catacombs and the Castle of Thessaloniki, called The Heptapyrgion.

    Thessaloniki

    After your breakfast and if there is time, you can take a short walk at the famous Thessaloniki promenade. Later, your driver will take you to visit the archaeological site and the museum of Dion.

    Dion Archaeological Park

    Dion sight is very large and the excavation of the area has brought to light a fortified city, and buildings like private residences, public buildings, shops, and a large number of workshops. You will see the Sanctuary of Zeus Olympios, of Demeter, of Isis, the Great thermae of Dion, the Villa of Dionysos, the Ancient and Roman Theatres, the Necropolis and the Church of Agios Dimitrios.

    where we will offer you

    After the impressive site of Dion, we will start our return trip to Athens. Our final stop is at Kamena Vourla seaside village where we will offer you, our courtesy, an afternoon coffee or tea by the sea view. Finally, upon arriving in Athens, we can drop you off at the airport or your residence.
