Day 1

    The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus

    Departure of the three-day trip on the national coastal road to the Corinth canal (short stop). After Corinth we will drive to EPIDAURO and visit the ancient theater, known worldwide for its spectacular acoustics.

    Archaeological Site Mycenae

    Then we will enter the Argólida region, the golden land of the Mycenae of Homer, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dating back to the second century B.C., Mycenae was one of the main centers of Greek civilization and a military fortress that dominated much of southern Greece. You will see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion Gate, the Royal Tombs, including that of Clytemnestra of Agamemnon, and the Treasure of Atreus, a magnificent 14th century BC sculpture. In the afternoon (optional stop to buy souvenirs) departure to OLIMPIA, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, passing through the cities of Tripoli and Megalopolis. Overnight stay in Olympia.

    Archaeological Site of Olympia

    Visit the archaeological site of Olympia with the Temple of Zeus, the temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the stadium and the archaeological museum.

    Charilaos Trikoupis Rio-Antirrio Bridge

    Pass by

    Departure via Patras (short stop) to Rio, crossing the bay by the new Antirio bridge. We will pass through the city of Nafpaktos and from there, along the coastal road to Delphi, formerly known as the navel of the world. In the afternoon visit the picturesque mountain village Arajova. Overnight stay in Delphi.

    Delphi Ancient Town

    Visit to the archaeological site and the Delphi Museum. Delphi, formerly known as the navel of the world. You will pass by Fuente Castalia, visit the archaeological site and see the monument of the kings of Argos, the temple of Pronaia, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the polygonal wall, the monument of Platea and the Temple of Apollo famous for its Delphi oracle and museum with its spectacular exhibits include the Sifnian Treasure Frieze, Naxos Sphinx and Antinous Statue, Athenian Treasure Steps, the famous bronze charioteer, and many more artifacts. In the afternoon after lunch (optional) we return to Athens at approximately 6:30 p.m.
