Nature lovers may find the exploration of the local flora and fauna to be a highlight of their visit -We will hike to Ice Maker's road where the early Chortiatis residents, in winter stored blocks of ice in the specific places in the mountain in order to sell them to Thessaloniki -We will visit and rest at Chortiatis refuge, a wellcoming refuge at 1,000 altitude -Excursions can be customized to each hiker’s fitness and experience level -Safety first: our mountain guides are trained in First Aid

Menu & tasting
Our hiking tour starts from Chortiatis village. We follow the icemakers path, which is the most popular route in Chortiatis mountain. It took its name from the old villagers, where on very cold winter nights, they climbed the mountain, created ice and then sold it to the wealthy families of Thessaloniki. Once we reach Chortiatis Refuge (which open only during the weekend), we will relax in its outdoor space, feeling the coolness of the trees and listening to the birds singing while we enjoy a cup of coffee and a tasty snack. Then we take the path for Kolosourtis peak, where we can enjoy the view to Thessaloniki, Thermaikos bay and on clear days Olympus Mt. Then we return back to Chortitis village. The hike is about 10 km long and the elavation gain 500 meters.
