About Samothrace
Samothrace is a mountainous island in the North Aegean, known for its wild natural beauty, waterfalls, and rich freshwater springs. It is located near the coast of Thrace and stands out for the impressive Mount Saos, which rises almost directly from the sea.
The island has great historical and archaeological significance, as it hosts the Sanctuary of the Great Gods of Samothrace, one of the most important religious sites of antiquity. The famous statue of the Winged Victory of Samothrace was discovered there and is now exhibited in the Louvre Museum.
Samothrace is an ideal destination for alternative tourism, hiking, and nature exploration. Visitors can enjoy natural pools, waterfalls, wild beaches, and an authentic, unspoiled island experience.
