Vrontados

Vrontados Chios is a large coastal settlement in the northern part of Chios, very close to Chios Town. It is located in an area with strong natural relief and sea views.

Vrontados is known for its maritime tradition, as many of its residents have historically been involved in shipping. The area is well developed residentially, with many neighborhoods, schools, and basic infrastructure, effectively functioning as a suburb of the main town.

A distinctive feature of Vrontados is the Easter rocket war tradition, a unique local custom that attracts interest from across Greece and abroad.
