Gouvia
About Gouvia
Gouvia is a coastal village on the eastern side of Corfu in the Ionian Islands, located just north of Corfu Town. It is set along a sheltered bay that forms one of the island's main marinas, with calm waters and views of the surrounding hills.
Gouvia is known for its large marina, which is one of the most important in the Ionian Sea, attracting sailing boats and yachts from around the Mediterranean. The area combines modern tourist facilities, such as hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops, with remnants of its historical Venetian shipyard.
Today, Gouvia is a popular destination for sailing, boating, and convenient stays near Corfu Town. It offers a mix of lively nightlife, coastal scenery, and easy access to many parts of the island, making it a central base for visitors exploring Corfu.
