Τα Χάνια είναι ένας μικρός ορεινός οικισμός του ανατολικού Πηλίου κτισμένος σε υψόμετρο 1200 μ. μέσα σ' ένα πυκνό δάσος από οξιές και έλατα. Πήρε το όνομά του από τα παλιά χάνια (πανδοχεία) που φιλοξενούσαν τους ταξιδιώτες. Απέχει 26 χλμ. από το Βόλο.
Σήμερα, τα Χάνια είναι γνωστά λόγω του χιονοδρομικού κέντρου που βρίσκεται στη θέση Αγριολεύκες και το οποίο είναι ένα από τα πιο γνωστά και πολυσύχναστα χιονοδρομικά κέντρα της Ελλάδας.
Τα Χάνια εκτός από την ευκαιρία για σκι προσφέρουν στους επισκέπτες τους και τη δυνατότητα για πολλές ακόμη δραστηριότητες. Όπως, πεζοπορία στο δάσος όπου θα έρθετε σε επαφή με την υπέροχη φύση.
Στις παραδοσιακές ταβέρνες της περιοχής θα δοκιμάσετε τοπικές συνταγές, όπως σπεντζοφάι και φασολάδα
