Your day begins with a personal pickup from your hotel in Thessaloniki by an English-speaking driver. Enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive through Thessaly to the breathtaking Meteora. Upon arrival in Kalambaka, you’ll head to the top of the cliffs to explore two of the historic Meteora monasteries, perched dramatically on towering rock formations. These UNESCO World Heritage Sites offer a glimpse into monastic life dating back to the Dark Ages. After exploring, descend to Kalambaka for an authentic Greek lunch and incredible photo ops of Meteora’s natural beauty. Continue with a visit to the ancient Cavern of Theopetra, inhabited since the Middle Paleolithic period. Before returning, stop at the Pinios River, home to rich biodiversity and scenic views. The tour ends with a relaxing drive back to your Thessaloniki accommodation. Note: Modest attire required for monastery entry—long pants and covered knees/feet.
