Admire the National Library of Athens, constructed during the last decade of the 19th century with the purpose of preserving the intellectual heritage of Greece. Until recently, in 2017, the National Library was in charge of safeguarding, preserving, and exhibiting over 2 million books, manuscripts, and periodicals.

The Zappeion is a large, palatial building next to the National Gardens of Athens in the heart of Athens. It is generally used for meetings and ceremonies, both official and private and is one of the city's most renowned modern landmarks.
