Ο Πύργος είναι ένα πανέμορφο χωριό κτισμένο στη πλαγιά του Προφήτη Ηλία, στο υψηλότερο σημείο του νησιού. Έχει υπέροχη θέα, κυριολεκτικά όλη τη Σαντορίνη να απλώνεται μπροστά στα μάτια του επισκέπτη. Απέχει μόλις 7,5 χλμ. από τα Φηρά. Ο Πύργος υπήρξε πρωτεύουσα του νησιού μέχρι το 1800. Αξίζει να επισκεφθείτε το μοναστήρι του Προφήτη Ηλία που είναι κτισμένο στη κορυφή του ομώνυμου λόφου και το Θεοτοκάκι μια από τις παλαιότερες εκκλησίες της Σαντορίνης που πιθανολογείται ότι ιδρύθηκε τον 10ο αιώνα. Επίσης, θα δείτε το Καστέλι, το αλλοτινό μεσαιωνικό οχυρό του νησιού.
