  We wanted to grab a quick lunch before heading to the beach, so we stopped here for some pita wraps filled with kebap and chicken souvlaki. Both wraps were alright, no complaints at all. The service was fast, and the atmosphere seemed relaxed and okay. So, good stop for a quick Greek street food fix. 🇬🇷☀️

  ne of the best meals I’ve had in Greece — every dish was freshly made with so much love and care. The flavors were authentic and vibrant, clearly prepared by someone passionate about their craft. What made the experience truly special was the warmth of the chef. Even though I didn’t speak the language, he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. His kindness and hospitality added an extra layer of joy to the meal. This place isn’t just about great food — it’s about feeling at home, even when you’re far away. Highly recommended for anyone looking to taste genuine Greek cuisine served with a generous helping of kindness.

  We had just checked into our Airbnb and picked Oraion simply because it was close to where we were staying — and we’re so glad we did. Located right across from the Piraeus port, this place has a very local, family-run vibe that feels authentic and unpretentious. The uncle who seemed to be the owner wasn’t exactly warm at first, but after some small talk while paying the bill, we left feeling quite content. You can tell it’s one of those old-school neighborhood spots focused more on food than polished service. The food portions were very generous, especially the pork gyro plate. We ordered hummus, olives, the pork gyro plate, and a beef gyro sandwich — everything was delicious. The gyro plate in particular was huge and very satisfying. One thing to note: the restaurant only accepts cash, not cards (just FYI). We’ll definitely come back before leaving Athens if we have time!

  You must visit this place! It is just across the road from the ferry harbor so if you’re ever waiting for one or have a minute to spare after arrival it’s the best place to spend it. The owner is an original one, lovely and humble. The gyros he makes is exceptional! Pair it with a nice cold beer and you got yourself a treat you will definitely want to have another time soon ☺️

  First gyros stop in Greece and this did not disappoint! The tzatziki was delicious and the owner was super lovely and welcoming. A great place to try, if you’re waiting to board your cruise ship
