About Lanzhou
Lanzhou is a major city in northwestern China and the capital of Gansu Province. It is located along the upper reaches of the Yellow River and has historically been an important transportation and trade hub on the ancient Silk Road.
Lanzhou is known for its strategic position connecting eastern and western China, as well as its distinctive cuisine, especially Lanzhou beef noodle soup (Lanzhou lamian), which is famous throughout the country.
Today, the city is an industrial and transportation center, with growing infrastructure and development, while still retaining cultural influences from its historical role as a Silk Road city.
