The Mikro Chorio along with the Megalo Chorio are two of the most developed in tourism areas. Administratively, they belong to Potamia prefecture and attract thousands of tourists who visit them for their unique natural beauties.
Mikro Chorio is built at an altitude of 900 m, 13 km from Karpenissi. The mountainous complex of Velouhi, Kaliakouda and Helidona surround the village creating a dreamy scenery.
Mikro Chorio was built 2 km far from the Palio Mikro Chorio. It is a true onament for the prefecture as it combines in a unique way natural landscapes and tourist infrastructures.
Half of the village was literally disappeared after the landslide of January 13th of 1963. A small lake was created then at the village's entrance.
The visitors will see the five stone faucets at the village’s square. The old school of the village hosts the Museum of Palio Mikro Chorio, which offers rare photographic material from the village’s historic route.
You will find many traditional hostels and rooms to let satisfying even the most demanding tastes.
