Galissas is the most cosmopolitan summer resort of Syros. Distinguishes for its good tourist infrastructure and options that provides to its visitors.
It is 9km from Ermoupoli. The settlement is built in a graphic sandy hill. The region is inhabited since archaic times. In the same spot was the homonym prehistoric settlement.

It is worth going up the hill of Agias Pakou and see the remains of a small castle that was used as an observatory and the remains of the ancient acropolis.
